Amazon review of the adult version "a very creative, one-of-a-kind book"
I experienced first-hand the effect of using writing and color to heal from psychological trauma. I wrote my book Getting Past the Pandemic to share what I have learned so that others can heal too.
I want to hear your story. How did using the book affect your healing process? What exercises spoke to you the most? Which ones did you not find meaningful? Where is your journey taking you?
I am a fiber artist, artisan baker, and fierce scrabble opponent. Professionally I am a trained chemist, medical laboratory scientist, change leader, and a certified infection preventionist. I teach surveillance and risk assessment and have given hundreds of presentations.
I have one younger sister, Pam. Even if we don't think we look alike, other people think we do. About 20 years after high school, my sister ran into one of our former classmates. After they chatted a bit, the classmate said "I remember you had that bratty little sister!." She had obviously mistaken my sister for me. How embarrassing! The name stuck, and my sister uses it for her Etsy business. I of course then needed a complimentary name and so I became the Bitchy Big Sister, which I was, and sometimes still am. ( "True story!" according to Pam.)
